Product Specific Information
0.5 µg/mL of MA5-45184 was sufficient for detection of HSP90α in 20 µg of heat-shocked HeLa cell lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 90 kDa. This antibody detects both alpha and beta forms of HSP90 equally well.
Target Information
HSP90 proteins are highly conserved molecular chaperones involved in signal transduction, protein folding, degradation, and morphologic evolution. They associate with cochaperones and assist in folding newly synthesized proteins or refolding denatured proteins after stress. Two major cytosolic forms exist: HSP90AA1 (inducible) and HSP90AB1 (constitutive), with mitochondrial variants also present.
