Target Information
This gene encodes a syntaxin-binding protein that regulates neurotransmitter release via syntaxin, a transmembrane attachment protein receptor. Mutations in this gene are associated with infantile epileptic encephalopathy-4. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
