Target Information
Annexin I belongs to a family of Ca²⁺-dependent phospholipid binding proteins located on the cytosolic face of the plasma membrane. It has a molecular mass of 40 kDa and exhibits phospholipase A2 inhibitory activity. Since phospholipase A2 is essential for prostaglandin and leukotriene biosynthesis, Annexin I may have potential anti-inflammatory properties.
