Target Information
ADRBK1 (GRK2) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in phosphorylation of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). GRK2 (83 kDa) is ubiquitously expressed in mammals and regulates GPCR internalization and signaling via the Ras–Raf–ERK1&2 pathway. GRK2 activity is controlled through phosphorylation by PKC, Src, and ERK1&2, and interaction with various proteins. ERK phosphorylates GRK2 on serine 670, leading to its inactivation through a negative feedback mechanism.
