Target Information
TESK2 (testis-specific kinase 2) is a serine/threonine protein kinase belonging to the TESK subgroup of the LIMK/TESK family. It contains an N-terminal kinase domain structurally similar to testis-specific protein kinase-1 and LIMK family kinases. TESK2 is mainly expressed in testis and prostate and plays a key role in spermatogenesis. It phosphorylates cofilin at Ser-3, promoting actin stress fiber and focal adhesion formation.
