Target Information
CD204 유전자는 macrophage scavenger receptor class A를 암호화하며, alternative splicing으로 세 가지 isoform(1, 2, 3)을 생성합니다.
이들 수용체는 macrophage 특이적 삼합체 막당단백질로, 죽상동맥경화증, 알츠하이머병, 숙주 방어 등 다양한 macrophage 관련 생리 및 병리 과정에 관여합니다.
Type 1 및 Type 2 isoform은 변형된 LDL을 내포할 수 있는 기능적 수용체이며, Type 3 isoform은 변형된 LDL을 내포하지 못하고 ER 내에 머무르며 기능을 억제하는 dominant negative 효과를 나타냅니다.
MSR1 관련 질환으로는 Barrett Esophagus 및 Prostate Cancer가 보고되어 있습니다.
