Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and located on chromosome 11 in humans. NF-kB p65, also known as RelA, is part of the Rel protein family and forms heterodimers with subunits p50 or p52. NF-kB plays a key role in transcriptional regulation of immune response genes. Activation occurs via TNFα-mediated phosphorylation of IKK and subsequent degradation of IκB, enabling transcriptional activity in mature B-lymphoid cells.
