Target Information
DAPK2 (Death-associated protein kinase 2) is a calcium/calmodulin-dependent kinase that acts as a positive regulator of apoptosis and is expressed in many tissue types.
It belongs to the serine/threonine protein kinase family and contains an N-terminal protein kinase domain followed by a conserved calmodulin-binding domain similar to DAPK1.
Overexpression of DAPK2 induces apoptosis, and the gene utilizes multiple polyadenylation sites.
