Product Specific Information

The TS2/16 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD29 (integrin beta 1), an approximately 130 kDa single-pass transmembrane glycoprotein. CD29 forms heterodimers with integrin alpha subunits to create the VLA (very late antigen) subfamily of adhesion molecules, involved in cell-cell and cell-matrix adhesion. CD29 is broadly expressed on lymphocytes and monocytes, with lower expression on granulocytes. The TS2/16 antibody has activating activity for beta 1 integrins.

Each product includes:

  • 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
  • 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested on normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test in 100 µL final volume. Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Important Notes:

  • NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
  • Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for compatibility.
  • CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) is required for optimal staining.
  • Add 5 µL of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer per sample before combining with cells.
