Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and located on chromosome 11 in humans. Also known as RelA, it belongs to the Rel protein family and forms a heterodimer with p50 or p52 subunits. Upon TNF-α binding to its receptor, IKK is phosphorylated, leading to phosphorylation and degradation of IκB, enabling NF-kB activation. NF-kB p65 plays a crucial role in transcription of the immunoglobulin kappa gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
