Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships lyophilized at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
Voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channels are complex ion channels with diverse functions including regulation of neurotransmitter release, heart rate, insulin secretion, neuronal excitability, epithelial electrolyte transport, smooth muscle contraction, and cell volume.
KCNH1 encodes a member of the voltage-gated potassium channel subfamily H, forming the pore-forming (alpha) subunit of a non-inactivating delayed rectifier potassium channel.
KCNH1 is activated during myoblast differentiation and highly expressed in brain and myoblasts.
Overexpression may confer a growth advantage to cancer cells and promote tumor proliferation.
Alternative splicing produces two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
