Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Human thyroglobulin (hTg) is a high molecular weight glycoprotein (605 kDa) found in thyroid follicular cells. It plays a central role in the uptake, incorporation, and regulated biosynthesis of thyroid hormones T4 and T3.
Autoantibodies against hTg are present in all autoimmune thyroid diseases such as Hashimoto thyroiditis and Graves disease, with the highest levels in Hashimoto thyroiditis. Anti-hTG is also associated with thyroid cancer and can be used for patient follow-up.
