Target Information

Cytokeratin 19 (KRT19) is a member of the intermediate filament protein family, showing biochemical diversity across human epithelial tissues.
Human cytokeratins are classified from 1 to 20, with molecular weights ranging from 40–68 kDa and isoelectric points between 4.9–7.8.
Cytokeratin expression patterns help distinguish epithelial malignancies and are valuable in tumor diagnosis via immunohistochemistry, cytopathology, and flow cytometry.
Cytokeratin 19 is not expressed in hepatocytes, making it useful for identifying liver metastasis.
