Product Specific Information

MA5-13013 targets HER-4 in WB and FACS applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The immunogen is the extracellular domain of recombinant human c-erbB-4/HER-4 oncoprotein.

Target Information

Oncogene ERBB4 (HER4) is a member of the type I receptor protein tyrosine kinase subfamily, including EGFR, ERBB2, and ERBB3. ERBB4 binds and is activated by neuregulins and other factors, inducing cellular responses such as mitogenesis and differentiation.
ErbB4 acts as a receptor for heregulin and mediates HGL-stimulated tyrosine phosphorylation. It regulates key cellular processes including metabolism, transcription, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal rearrangement, apoptosis, and differentiation.
Expression of ErbB4 is high in several breast carcinoma cell lines and in normal skeletal muscle, heart, pituitary, brain, and cerebellum. Elevated ErbB4 levels in certain tumor cell lines suggest a potential role in malignancies.
