Target Information
ECM1 (Extracellular Matrix Protein 1)는 세포외기질 구조 및 세포 접착 조절에 중요한 역할을 하는 단백질로, 피부, 폐, 간 등 다양한 조직에서 발현됩니다.
이 단백질은 콜라겐, 피브로넥틴 등 여러 세포외기질 단백질과 상호작용하며, 세포 증식, 이동, 침입 조절에 관여합니다.
또한 연골골화, 혈관형성, 종양 생물학에도 관련되어 있으며, 피부 항상성 유지에 기여합니다.
ECM1 유전자 변이는 피부 및 점막의 두꺼워짐을 특징으로 하는 리포이드 프로테이노시스(Urbach-Wiethe disease)와 관련이 있습니다.
대체 스플라이싱된 다양한 ECM1 이소폼이 보고되어 있으며, 관련 질환에는 Lipoid Proteinosis of Urbach and Wiethe 및 Lichen Sclerosus Et Atrophicus가 포함됩니다.
