Target Information
PUF60 encodes a Ro RNP-binding protein that interacts with Ro RNPs, representing a gain of function for these complexes. It forms a ternary complex with FUSE and FUSE-binding protein, repressing c-myc reporter activity via FUSE. PUF60 also targets transcription factor IIH and inhibits activated transcription. This gene is implicated in xeroderma pigmentosum disorder and has two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms, with evidence of multiple polyadenylation sites.
