Target Information
이 유전자는 당단백질과 당지질의 말단 α-galactosyl기를 가수분해하는 homodimeric glycoprotein을 암호화합니다.
이 효소는 주로 ceramide trihexoside를 가수분해하며, melibiose를 galactose와 glucose로 분해할 수 있습니다.
이 유전자의 다양한 돌연변이는 효소의 합성, 처리 및 안정성에 영향을 미쳐 Fabry disease(희귀 리소좀 축적 질환)를 유발할 수 있습니다.
