Product Specific Information
- Antibody tested in direct ELISA.
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Uroplakin 1B is a component of the asymmetric unit membrane (AUM), a specialized biomembrane in terminally differentiated urothelial cells. It may play a key role in normal bladder epithelial physiology by regulating membrane permeability of superficial umbrella cells or stabilizing the apical membrane through AUM/cytoskeletal interactions.
