Nudix hydrolase 계열의 pyrophosphatase로, nucleoside diphosphate 유도체의 가수분해를 촉매합니다.
FGF-2 유전자의 antisense 전사체로 알려져 있으며, FGF-2 발현 조절에 관여합니다.
FGF-2는 혈관신생, 신경외배엽 발달, 상처 치유 등 다양한 생리학적 과정에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
NUDT6는 alternative splicing에 의해 두 가지 isoform으로 발현됩니다.
