Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The XPA gene encodes a zinc metalloprotein that binds DNA damaged by UV radiation and chemical carcinogens, essential for nucleotide excision repair.
XPB and XPD genes encode DNA helicases involved in DNA repair and transcription.
XPG encodes an endonuclease that cuts on the 3′ side of DNA lesions during repair.
Defects in the XP variant (POLH) group maintain normal excision repair but reduce the ability to synthesize intact daughter DNA strands after damage.
