This antibody detects endogenous levels of total Spi-C protein.
Target Information
Spi-C controls the development of red pulp macrophages required for red blood cell recycling and iron homeostasis. It acts as a transcription factor binding to the PU-box (5’-GAGGA[AT]-3’), a purine-rich DNA sequence functioning as a lymphoid-specific enhancer. It also regulates VCAM1 gene expression.
