This antibody has been tested in indirect ELISA.
Target Information
This gene generates several transcript variants differing in their first exons. At least three alternatively spliced variants encode distinct proteins, two of which act as inhibitors of CDK4 kinase. Another variant encodes ARF, a structurally unrelated protein that stabilizes tumor suppressor p53 by interacting with and sequestering MDM2, preventing p53 degradation. Both CDK inhibitor isoforms and ARF contribute to G1 cell cycle control. This gene is frequently mutated or deleted in various tumors and functions as an important tumor suppressor gene.
