PA1-4221 detects the ESE-1 protein in human samples.
This antibody has been successfully used in Western blot procedures and detects both isoforms of ESE-1 (~40 kDa) in T84 colon carcinoma cells.
The immunogen consists of synthetic peptides corresponding to residues M(1)–S(16) and S(335)–N(348) of the N- and C-termini of human ESE-1.
Target Information
ESE-1 (Epithelium-Specific Ets) is a highly tissue-restricted member of the ets transcription factor family. It binds with high affinity to the ets binding site in the promoter of the keratinocyte terminal differentiation marker gene (SPRR2A) and acts as a critical regulator of epithelial cell differentiation.
