Target Information
POLR2I is a subunit of RNA polymerase II, responsible for synthesizing messenger RNA in eukaryotes.
This subunit, together with two other polymerase subunits, forms the DNA-binding domain of the polymerase, creating the groove in which DNA is transcribed into RNA.
POLR2I contains two zinc finger motifs with conserved cysteines and exhibits zinc-binding activity.
Western blot analyses using different antibodies against distinct regions of this protein confirm consistent molecular weight results.
