Product Specific Information
- For Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

The protein encoded by this gene contains a homeobox domain and may be involved in the morphogenesis of the central nervous system.
This gene is located on chromosome 20 near NKX2-4, and these two genes appear duplicated on chromosome 14 as TITF1 and NKX2-8.
The encoded protein is likely a nuclear transcription factor.
