The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The QDPR gene encodes dihydropteridine reductase, an enzyme that catalyzes the NADH-mediated reduction of quinonoid dihydrobiopterin. This enzyme is essential for pterin-dependent aromatic amino acid hydroxylation. Mutations in this gene can cause QDPR deficiency, leading to atypical phenylketonuria due to insufficient biopterin production, a cofactor for phenylalanine hydroxylase.
