This antibody detects endogenous levels of TRAP220/MED1 only when phosphorylated at Thr1032.
Target Information
TRAP220/MED1 is a component of the Mediator complex, a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes. The Mediator complex acts as a bridge between gene-specific regulatory proteins and the basal RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. It is recruited to promoters through interactions with regulatory proteins and serves as a scaffold for assembling a functional preinitiation complex with RNA polymerase II and general transcription factors.
