Target Information
SREBP (Sterol Regulatory Element-Binding Protein)은 지질 항상성 유지에 필수적인 전사 활성화 인자입니다. LDL 수용체 유전자 및 지방산 합성 경로의 전사를 조절하며, 콜레스테롤 합성에도 일부 관여합니다.
SREBP는 SRE-1 서열(5'-ATCACCCCAC-3') 및 E-box 모티프(5'-ATCACGTGA-3')에 결합합니다. Isoform SREBP-1A는 SREBP-1C보다 높은 전사 활성도를 보입니다.
SREBP는 ER 막에서 SCAP과 복합체를 형성하며, 스테롤이 결핍될 경우 ER에서 골지로 이동합니다. 처리된 형태는 핵 내에서 작용합니다.
SREBP는 SREBP 단백질 계열에 속합니다.
