Description:
The eBio22D1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse SIGNR1 (CD209b). SIGNR1 is a type II transmembrane C-type lectin, identified as a mouse homologue of human DC-SIGN. It is highly expressed in splenic marginal zone and lymph node medullary macrophages, functioning in uptake of dextran polysaccharides including the capsular polysaccharide of Streptococcus pneumoniae. SIGNR1 associates with TLR4/MD2 and may play a role in LPS recognition. SIGNR1-deficient mice exhibit defects in complement C3 catabolism, and SIGNR1 binds directly to complement C1q to form a non-conventional C3 convertase.
The eBio22D1 antibody does not cross-react with SIGNR2, SIGNR3, or SIGNR4.

Functional assays should use the Functional Grade purified form (Product #16-2093-82).
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended ≤1 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell count may vary from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test. Antibody titration is advised for optimal assay performance.

Target Information
