Target Information
The A-kinase anchor proteins (AKAPs) are a group of structurally diverse proteins that bind to the regulatory subunit of protein kinase A (PKA), anchoring the holoenzyme to specific cellular locations. The AKAP14 protein anchors PKA in ciliary axonemes and may regulate ciliary beat frequency. Alternate transcriptional splice variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
