Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

L1CAM (CD171) is an axonal glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It contains immunoglobulin-like and fibronectin type III domains connected to a transmembrane and cytoplasmic domain.
L1CAM plays a crucial role in neuronal migration and differentiation during nervous system development.
Mutations in the L1CAM gene are associated with X-linked neurological syndromes collectively known as CRASH (corpus callosum hypoplasia, retardation, aphasia, spastic paraplegia, and hydrocephalus).
Alternative splicing of a neuron-specific exon is functionally relevant.
