Product Specific Information

The LG.7F9 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD27, a lymphocyte-specific member of the TNFR superfamily. CD27 is expressed by mature T cells and a subset of memory B cells. It binds to CD70, playing a crucial role in T cell–B cell interactions and effector cell maturation. LG.7F9 cross-reacts with human and rat CD27.

Target Information

CD27 is a 50 kDa member of the TNF receptor superfamily (includes CD40, CD30). It regulates cell proliferation and death. CD27/CD70 expression is mainly confined to lymphocytes. CD27 forms disulfide-linked homodimers on mature thymocytes, peripheral T cells, and B cell subsets. Activation via TCR-CD3 increases CD27 expression and releases soluble CD27 (sCD27), a marker for B cell malignancies. CD27 dysfunction is associated with Lymphoproliferative Syndrome 2 and Autosomal Recessive Lymphoproliferative Syndrome.
