CD147 (basigin, neurothelin, OX-47, 5A11, CE9, M6, EMMPRIN, extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer, TCSF, tumour cell-derived collagenase-stimulatory factor)는 50–60 kDa의 당단백질로 여러 가지 당화 형태를 가집니다.
CD147는 세포막 단백질로서 정자 형성, 배아 착상, 신경망 형성 및 종양 진행에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 면역글로불린 슈퍼패밀리의 일원으로, 대사활동이 높은 림프모세포, 염증세포, 갈색지방세포 및 악성종양 세포에서 높은 발현을 보입니다.
CD147는 monocarboxylate transporter 및 extracellular matrix metalloproteinase의 세포 표면 발현을 조절하고, integrin 기능 조절, 세포 발달 및 활성화, 태아 발달 또는 망막 기능에 관여합니다.
