Target Information
The HSP70 family is composed of four highly conserved proteins: HSP70, HSC70, GRP75, and GRP78. These proteins serve various roles in cellular processes. GRP75 expression is restricted to the mitochondrial matrix and aids in translocation and folding of nascent polypeptide chains from both nuclear and mitochondrial origins. GRP75 and GRP78 are unresponsive to heat stress but are induced by glucose deprivation.
