Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20° C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Directed against human ASPP2. The product was purified from monospecific antiserum by Protein A affinity chromatography. Minimal reactivity occurs against ASPP1. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with ASPP2 from macaque and dog sources based on a 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Expect partial reactivity with ASPP2 from mouse and rat sources based on an 80% homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known.
Target Information
Regulator that plays a central role in regulation of apoptosis and cell growth via its interactions. Regulates TP53 by enhancing the DNA binding and transactivation function of TP53 on the promoters of proapoptotic genes in vivo. Inhibits the ability of APPBP1 to conjugate NEDD8 to CUL1, and thereby decreases APPBP1 ability to induce apoptosis. Impedes cell cycle progression at G2/M. Its apoptosis-stimulating activity is inhibited by its interaction with DDX42.
