Target Information
This gene encodes a protein identified in metastatic cell screens, notably mammary adenocarcinoma cell lines. Expression correlates with metastatic potential in several carcinomas but is also found in normal tissues. MTA1 is associated with transcriptional regulation, possibly via chromatin remodeling, and contains DNA binding, dimerization, and methylation-related domains.
