Target Information
SIRT7는 효모 Sir2 단백질의 상동체로 알려진 sirtuin 단백질 패밀리의 구성원입니다. 이 단백질군은 sirtuin core domain을 가지며, 네 개의 클래스로 분류됩니다. SIRT7은 class IV에 속합니다. 인간 sirtuin의 기능은 완전히 규명되지 않았으나, 효모 sirtuin 단백질은 유전자 발현의 후성적 침묵(epigenetic silencing) 및 rDNA 재조합 억제에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 연구 결과에 따르면, 인간 sirtuin 단백질은 mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase 활성을 가진 세포 내 조절 단백질로 기능할 가능성이 있습니다.
