Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of Rel only when phosphorylated at Ser492 (Isoform 1, Q04864-1) or Ser460 (Isoform 2, Q04864-2).
Target Information
The REL gene encodes c-Rel, a transcription factor belonging to the Rel/NFκB family, which includes RELA, RELB, NFKB1, and NFKB2. These proteins share a conserved N-terminal Rel domain, responsible for DNA binding, dimerization, nuclear localization, and interaction with NFκB inhibitors (Belguise and Sonenshein, 2007).
