HCN3 is a member of the hyperpolarization-activated and cyclic-nucleotide-gated (HCN) channel family. HCN currents are associated with pacemaker activity in the heart and brain, resting potential control, and neuronal plasticity. HCN3 is expressed in the brain, but at lower levels compared to other HCN channels.
