Target Information
Vesicle-associated membrane protein-associated protein B/C (VAPB) is encoded by the VAPB gene located on human chromosome 20. It is a type IV membrane protein found in plasma and intracellular vesicle membranes. The protein exists as homodimers or heterodimers with VAPA and interacts with VAMP1 and VAMP2, suggesting a role in vesicle trafficking.
