Target Information
MLH1 is a DNA mismatch repair protein essential for maintaining genomic integrity. Defects in mismatch repair pathways lead to microsatellite instability (MSI), which is associated with carcinogenesis. MLH1, together with PMSH, forms a heterodimer that participates in the later steps of mismatch repair after MSH2 recognizes mismatched DNA.
