Target Information
Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH)는 해당과정(glycolytic pathway)에서 pyruvate를 lactate로 전환시키며, NADH와 NAD+의 상호 변환을 촉매하는 효소입니다.
포유류에서는 LDHA (근육형), LDHB (심장형), LDHC (고환형) 세 가지 유전자에 의해 발현됩니다.
세 가지 인간 LDH는 84–89%의 서열 유사성과 69–75%의 아미노산 동일성을 가지며, M과 H 사슬의 조합에 따라 다섯 가지 LDH isoenzyme이 존재합니다.
LDHA는 저산소 상태(hypoxia)에서 유도되며 HIF1a의 전사 활성에 의해 조절됩니다. LDHB는 여러 암에서 상향 조절되는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
LDHA 유전자 돌연변이는 Glycogen storage disease 11 (GSD11)을 유발할 수 있습니다.
