Target Information
BAF60C is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins, which possess helicase and ATPase activities and are thought to regulate transcription by altering chromatin structure. The encoded protein is part of the ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SNF/SWI and shows sequence similarity to yeast Swp73. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, though the biological validity of some variants remains uncertain.
