Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody SolA15 recognizes mouse and rat Ki-67, a 300 kDa nuclear protein expressed during all active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, and mitosis) but absent in resting cells (G0). Ki-67 serves as a marker for determining the growth fraction of a cell population and is used in tumor studies to predict cancer outcomes. The SolA15 antibody also recognizes human, non-human primate, and canine Ki-67.

Applications Reported:
Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by intracellular staining of stimulated mouse splenocytes. Recommended ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume; 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Titrate for optimal performance.

Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 805 (BUV805) emits at 797 nm and is designed for cytometers equipped with a 355 nm UV laser. Ensure instrument compatibility.

Staining Buffer Recommendation:
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401) or Brilliant Stain Buffer (00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light Sensitivity:
Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.

Fixation Compatibility:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.
Compatible with short-term methanol fixation (<1 hour).

Target Information

Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during late G1, S, G2, and M phases of the cell cycle. It associates with euchromatin and heterochromatin regions and is absent in G0 cells. Ki-67 serves as a proliferation marker and is widely used to determine the growth fraction of neoplasms. Low Ki-67 index correlates with low-grade tumors, and it is also used as a neuronal marker of cell cycling and proliferation.
