RNA-binding protein involved in transcription regulation, pre-mRNA splicing, and mRNA translation (PubMed:14699138, 16455055, 19523114, 21771594).
Negatively regulates DNA-binding activity of transcription factor MEF2C in myocardial cells under mechanical stress.
Binds poly(U) RNA via its C-terminus and contributes to mRNA translation initiation and PML-nuclear body formation (PubMed:28695742).
