Target Information
CHM은 Rab geranylgeranyltransferase (GGTase) 복합체의 기질 결합 서브유닛으로, prenylation되지 않은 Rab 단백질을 결합하여 촉매 성분(RABGGTA, RABGGTB)에 기질 펩타이드를 전달합니다. 반응 후에도 복합체에 결합 상태를 유지하며, prenylated Rab을 막으로 되돌려주는 과정을 통해 A 성분이 재생됩니다. 또한, CHM과 Rab GGTase 이합체(RGGT 또는 component B)가 형성된 복합체는 Rab 단백질을 결합하고 prenylation을 수행하는 대체 경로를 통해 Rab 단백질 geranylgeranylation의 주요 경로로 작용합니다.
