Target Information
NFRKB (nuclear factor related to kappa-B-binding protein) was first identified as a factor that binds a variant NF-kappa B site in the interleukin-2 receptor alpha (IL-2Rα) gene. NFRKB appears to function as a transcription factor central to immune cell development. It has been identified as an amplified gene in several cases of acute myeloid leukemia, and partial deletion of its chromosomal region has been associated with combined cellular immunodeficiency.
