WDR18은 432개의 아미노산으로 이루어진 단백질로, 6개의 WD repeat를 포함하며 인간 염색체 19에 위치한 유전자에 의해 암호화됩니다. WDR18은 발달 과정에서 역할을 할 것으로 추정되며, PELP1-TEX10-WDR18 복합체는 큰 리보솜 소단위체의 성숙 및 핵소체 방출에 필요합니다.
