Target Information
TIMP-1 및 TIMP-2는 matrix metalloproteinase(MMP) 계열 효소의 억제 단백질로, 결합조직의 구조 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
TIMP-2는 72 kDa Type IV collagenase(MMP-2, gelatinase A)의 latent 및 active form 모두에 높은 결합 친화성을 가지며, 92 kDa Type IV collagenase(MMP-9, gelatinase B)의 active form에도 결합합니다.
TIMP-2는 종양 세포 및 정상 태반 영양막 세포의 단백질 분해성 침습을 억제합니다.
