Specificity: This antibody is specific to the mouse CCR7 protein, which was confirmed by immunoprecipitation.
Target Information
CCR7 is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family, a subfamily of chemokines. It was identified to be induced by Epstein Barr virus (EBV) and is thought to mediate EBV effects on B lymphocytes. CCR7 is expressed in blood, bone marrow, lymph node, and intestine, particularly in lymphoid tissues and activated B and T lymphocytes. It controls migration of memory T cells to inflamed tissues and stimulates dendritic cell maturation. The chemokine ligand CCL19/ECL is a specific ligand of this receptor. ESTs have been isolated from blood, embryo, lymph node, and thymus libraries. Receptors for the C-C chemokine family include CCR1, CCR2A, CCR3, CCR4, CCR5, and the Duffy blood group antigen. These receptors are important for T cell chemotaxis and migration of phagocytic cells to sites of inflammation.
